Brittany (Britt) Embry, ARM, is the System Director of Insurance for Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. which employs more than 23,000 people in Kentucky and surrounding states. In this role, she provides leadership for all insurance lines including professional and general liability, property, auto, workers compensation and more, while working closely with the AVP of Risk Management and Insurance.
Before 2013 when she began working to grow and mature the Insurance program for Baptist Health, Britt started her career at Baptist Health in 2009 working in the Home Health Department and the Legal Department. From the beginning of being in Baptist Health, Britt has developed many skills which she continues to sharpen now within the Risk Management and Insurance Department.
Britt manages Baptist’s complete insurance program including over 20 corporate insurance policies, including a Self-Funded Trust providing malpractice coverage to all of the medical providers and general liability for all 9 of the Baptist hospitals. As part of her position, Britt oversees the combining of insurance programs for all acquisitions including the most recent with Baptist Health Hardin and the Joint Venture creating Baptist Health Deaconess, Inc.
Britt serves as a board member for the Greater Bluegrass Chapter of RIMS as the VP of Communications. Britt has also been involved in the Kentucky Society for Healthcare Risk Management and has served on their board as well as being involved with the organization's Education Committee for many years.
